“Godavari” is an Indian Marathi-language drama film directed by Nikhil Mahajan and produced by Jitendra Joshi, Mitali Joshi, Pavan Malu, and Nikhil Mahajan under the banner of Blue Drop Films. The film features Jitendra Joshi in the lead role, supported by Neena Kulkarni, Sanjay Mone, Vikram Gokhale, and Gauri Nalawade in pivotal roles. Set against the backdrop of the Godavari river in Nashik, the storyline revolves around a family living on its banks.

The movie had its world premiere at the 2021 Vancouver International Film Festival on October 4, 2021, followed by a theatrical release on November 11, 2022. “Godavari” garnered positive reviews from both critics and audiences. It received acclaim at the 69th National Film Awards, securing the award for Best Direction. At the 7th Filmfare Awards Marathi, the film earned 12 nominations, including Best Actor for Joshi and Best Supporting Actor for Jadhav, ultimately winning five awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Mahajan, and Best Actor Critics for Joshi.
